The E-Race easily accelerates with a variable speed twist-grip throttle allowing speeds of up to 24km/h. It even has the capacity to pull a heavy trailer uphill effortlessly.

The tested Lafree EU-Variation doesn’t quite measure up to the US version that was tested in 1999. The top speed of the US version is 20 mph. instead of the maximum allowed speed of 15 mph. offered by the European version.

However, speed isn’t everything - the Lafree EU offers comfortable cruising and easy riding up steep hills. Giant produces different models of the Lafree for all body sizes.
