In this category the crucial characteristics are a range of at least 30 kilometers and a high average speed. To be defined as a pedelec in the Business Class by ExtraEnergy, the bike must at least average 26 km/h over a 5-kilometer stretch. That can normally only be done by so-called Fast Pedelecs, which have to be insured in Germany. The advantage of being insured: your high-quality lightning streak is protected from thiefs.

Sporty, classy and chic are the style characteristics of the Business Pedelec. Naturally, price doesn’t play a (big) role here. More important to the Business e-biker are solid, city-wise fittings (fenders, lights, bike stand, baggage carrier) and strong support (also under the toughest circumstances, such as climbs up hills) defined as support which doubles the effort you put in (U-factor 1).
